Involved and Active in Our Community

Giving back is important to the Ackah Business Immigration Law team. We are proud to be part of Calgary’s thriving community. Throughout the year, we support by volunteering our time, giving donations and providing sponsorships to various organizations. Non-profit agencies that are close to our hearts are the Canadian Women's Foundation, YWCA, Samaritan's Purse, Inn from the Cold and the Mustard Seed. In addition to these agencies, we also commit to assisting on a number of pro-bono files each year to individuals requiring our legal services from various communities across Canada.

Evelyn Ackah is committed to giving back to the immigrant community and offering employment opportunities to highly-skilled foreign workers through Immigrant Services Calgary programs.

We also share our business immigration law expertise, offering pro-bono legal immigration services to recognized non-profit agencies. We are honoured to help facilitate new opportunities for people and local businesses by providing corporate immigration counsel.

A few of them are listed below:

Canadian Women’s Foundation

Canadian Women’s Foundation 2010 Calgary Professional Breakfast Committee Members along with Keynote Speaker Arlene Dickinson, CEO of Venture Communications and Co-star of CBC’s Dragons’ Den.

Jillaine Jurchik - artist featured in our Ackah Law offices

Through her paintings and photography, Jillaine Jurchuk brings inspiration into your life. The everyday beauty that surrounds us inspired Jillaine from an early age. That inspiration, combined with her interior design experience, results in a unique vision - one where beauty is at the centre of our very health and happiness. Jillaine's work is now available as customized digital art - a new and limitless way of bringing her creativity into your world.
