Before you can move to Canada, you must apply for permanent Canadian residency with the office of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada. To enter Canada as either a visitor or to move to Canada temporarily or permanent, there are certain documents you must have to cross the border, or you will not be allowed to enter. Some documents are essential and required of anyone entering Canada, other documents may be required depending on your unique situation. If you are traveling with family members, each family member will also require documents.
