I immigrated to Canada from Ghana as a young child for a better life and more opportunities. Getting my undergraduate degree, attending law school and working in Big Law on Bay Street in Toronto met all my parent’s dreams for their child to have a successful life in Canada.
But my Canadian Dream was a bit different. 13 years ago in December 2010, I left Big Law and launched Ackah Business Immigration Law. Owning my own business, with my own name on the letterhead and practicing immigration law my way was my Canadian Dream come true.
My Canadian Dream provides me with the flexibility to spend time with my children and husband, to travel to Vancouver and Ghana and beyond to visit family and friends.
My Canadian Dream has allowed me to build a team of exceptional, caring and knowledgeable immigration professionals who are equally dedicated to helping our clients achieve their goals.
My Canadian Dream lets me quickly implement new technology and procedures to make it easier and more efficient to manage our cases and provide the latest information on U.S. and Canadian immigration to our followers and clients.
My Canadian Dream allows me to volunteer for community programs I care about and make a difference in the lives of other Canadians.
My Canadian Dream makes me proud of my parents who fought to give this young Black girl opportunity, and I’m proud that I seized the opportunities presented and built a wonderful life in my new home country.
