Cross-Border Tax and Immigration Law Seminar - What You Need To Know

Immigration Law for Cross-Border Employees - Presented by Evelyn Ackah

Cross-Border Immigration Law is constantly changing and evolving. As employers, you must be fully informed in order to properly prepare and advise your cross-border employees. This business immigration seminar will provide an overview of NAFTA immigration law and provide you with the knowledge to ensure you are in full compliance with the law on both sides of the border.

International Tax Concepts for Cross-border Employees - Presented by Mohammad Ahmad

Employees working outside their home country can expose a company and the individual to a number of taxation issues including personal income tax, social security taxes and corporate income taxes in the host country. This session will go through the basics of some of the expatriate tax issues employees will need to consider for Canada and the United States. It is intended to give you the tools you need to identify and manage tax issues for these cross-border employees.

Breakfast seminar will take place Wednesday May 28, 2014 from 7:30 am to 10 am at the Ranchmen's Club 710 13th Avenue SW. Please contact Kim Pryhitko to register - kim@ackahlaw.com.

You and your team Evelyn have been an amazing drink of cool pure water in the world of legal processes that sometimes could taste bitter. You have been reasonable, honest, communicative, super patient and always kind in words and actions. Three years ago, I researched Lawyers and attorneys throughout Canada and the U.S. to find a person or company that would help me. The gratitude I have for your safe, gracious and disarming legal paradigms that I had formed from some challenging experiences, evaporated when you led the charge through the pandemic to acquire the Visas we need for my company. So “Yes!” . . . I am very thankful for you and the team members of Ackah Law during this Thanksgiving Season and forever.
