Huffington Post Interviews Evelyn Ackah on New International Student Travel Restrictions

Canada's IRCC announced most international students will not be allowed to travel to or enter Canada.

Canada immigration lawyer Evelyn Ackah spoke to Huffington Post about international students barred from Canada study in 2020. International students make big contributions to Canadian universities and colleges, and the economy.

“If you can’t get here, it might make sense to delay your plans for a year, and to get this COVID situation under control. I think it’s very realistic to maybe save the stress and the money to just pause and take a year until everything gets sorted.”

I had the pleasure of working with Ackah Law when a Calgary based organization offered me an opportunity to work in the USA. They recommended Ackah Law to help me to obtain a USA work visa. I cannot speak highly enough of my experience working with Ackah Law. They educated me on the visa application process. They were clear and thorough in explaining the documentation I would need to provide and prepared me for the interview that was a critical step in gaining entry into the USA. The team at Ackah Law provided excellent support throughout the entire process. They answered any questions I had and provided me with materials and resources to help me feel confident and prepared for the interview. On the day of the interview, I felt confident and ready thanks to Ackah Law's guidance and support and I was granted the work visa without any issues. Overall, I am grateful to Ackah Law for their invaluable support, knowledge, and experience. They invested their time in preparing me to ensure a successful outcome.
