IRCC invited 2,750 Express Entry candidates to apply Nov 15 for a total of 5,545 ITAs issued in November

Canada has issued 2750 invitations to apply for permanent residency - ITAs - to Express Entry Candidates with CRS cut-off scores of 439 points in the latest Express Entry draw which was held on November 15, 2017. Candidates from the Federal Skilled Worker Program, Federal Skilled Trades Program, Canadian Experience Class and Provincial Nominee Program were eligible for this round of invitations.

November had 4 drawings for Canada’s Express Entry System; Canada's new 3-year immigration target of 1,000,000 new immigrants for 2018-2020 was announced by Immigration Minister Ahmed Hussen, a nearly 20% increase in the number of candidates granted permanent residence. Since the November 1 announcement, a total of 5,545 ITAs have been issued in November, establishing 2017 as a record-breaking year for Express Entry.

Tie-Breaking Rule
On October 19, 2017, a tie-break rule was established: If more than one candidate has the lowest score, the cut-off is based on the date and time they submitted their Express Entry profiles.
